Worship Internship

The Church Music Internship is all about "equipping saints for the work of ministry" (Eph. 4:11-13) and particularly those individuals who are interested in leading worship in song within the church. This internship is designed to develop both the "heart and hands” (character & skill) as well as shape the philosophy of music of each intern. This will develop interns toward a stronger theology of worship, and more specifically, worship in song. This internship will explore how music should be stewarded inside of a local church, as well as give these interns practical opportunities to lead worship in song (where appropriate and based on individual gifting).

First Irving church member who would like to learn more about church music.
those studying music in college and for those who may want to explore how the Lord might want to use them within a music ministry in the future.
DBU Students who wish to fulfill their DBU Music Business Internship.

Approximately a year-long commitment (Two full semesters - Spring and Fall)

What is this?

The Church Music Internship is all about "equipping saints for the work of ministry" (Eph. 4:11-13) and particularly those individuals who are interested in leading worship in song within the church.
This internship will explore how music should be stewarded inside of a local church, as well as giving these pastoral interns practical opportunities to lead worship in song on Sunday mornings in the main gathering of the church.
Interns in this program will usually participate in our broader pastoral internship program that meets every other week to equip men who aspire to pastoral ministry.

Are you willing and able to commit to an internship that usually requires involvement in our general pastoral internship that meets every other Thursday morning at 6am to discuss general pastoral books & relevant Scripture passages and topics?
