These activities form a unique blend that include recreation, discipleship, and Bible memorization, in order to help children know, understand, and apply the Word of God to their lives. Your child spending time in a fun environment, formed by the Word, is a great way to help him or her understand Jesus and love Him more.
These studies on Sunday mornings are at the heart of what we do in First Irving Kids. Your child will receive foundational Bible teaching in an exciting atmosphere. They are offered at both 9:30 am and 11:00 am. Classes are grouped by grade and use age-appropriate curriculum called Bible Studies for Life, approaching the Bible with application in mind.
Our AWANA-based program is for ages 3 - 5th grade and features strong Bible teaching with interactive lessons, review games, crafts, memory verses, music-focused worship, and prayer. KidJam is held on Wednesday nights from 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm, and is an upbeat, energetic, VBS-style rotation designed to actively engage kids in discipleship and worship. 1st – 5th Graders meet on the Kid’s Floor while ages 3 – Kindergarten meet in the Preschool Area.
We offer a weekly program that helps kids in 4th - 6th grade learn to hide the Word of God in their hearts. Bible Drillers meet weekly (September - April) on the kid's floor on Sunday afternoons from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.
Kids Worship Choir focuses on helping kids develop a heart of worship through hymns and worship songs. There are opportunities to present this attitude of worship during the school year. Kids Worship Choir meets as a part of KidJam on Wednesday nights.
